the service from my old boys. They seemed quite pleased to see me back again.

As Mr Joyce was not sure whether there would be anyone at Kenton to play to-night he asked me to go. I went accordingly. A man called Matthews from Vaughan Rd had turned up so I was not wanted. However I read the lessons & I listened with much pleasure to Mr Ellis' address so that I enjoyed it much.

Spent most of today shopping. Visited Wallis', Selfridges & Whiteleys in succession.

Wed Dec 10

Went over to Watford in aft. Percy's chain had bust, so we were unable to go for a ride. We tried to find a shop open to mend it, but were unsuccessful.

There was a meeting of CEMS in the Mission House @ 8.30. Ted + I went. The sec. of the Labour Co-Partnership Association came & gave a Lantern Lecture on "Co-Partnership." He was very good in his way though we should have been more interested to have heard about suggested methods & applying it to existing concerns, rather
