Thursday July 20 Took the bull by the 'horns & went up to see the Adjutant about yesterdays firing and the damage to the targets. All ended satisfactorily. Played a return match against number 6 tonight. It was a good match though we lost 3-1 Friday July 21st As there was no firing to day - targets still not available - we had to do a nite ?? march. We went 'round Khausper'?? It was quite an exciting time as the path was not over large. I had to send the mules back after about a mile. The rest of us went on, along a path of an average width of about 2 ft with the usual skid down the ?? for a 1000ft or so if one goes over the edge. In one place the bridge - tree trunks covered with earth - had mostly disappeared. Only six of us walked over the single tree, the rest scrambled over via the route AB ????DIAGRAM???? A..A Single Trunk A. B Rest of Bridge Hanging on to the top tree as a rail. It was nothing very terrible as there was only 10 ft to drop - on to rocks its true - if one did go down. There were one or two more scrambles and the dickens of a pull up of about 1000ft at the end but we got back without any casualties at all.
