Sunday April 30 Still no padre. Consequently no Easter communion yet. Started Pushtee to-day. I had my first lesson from the Muski at 3/0. I wonder whether I shall succeed in bagging the 500 ????? I hope so -- anyway it's worth trying for. Did some gardening in the evening, beautifying the grounds round the tent. Monday May 1st We had to go Route Marching this morning which was a nuisance as it upset programmes. Still it had to be. We went up to Ghora Dakka through the Pipe Huni tunnel & on towards Changla Gate. the tunnel caused an adventure. I did not realise it was as small as it is, as it was the first time I had been through. Still the men got the mules through alright & then the ??? like a fathead instead of taking the pony round the road tried to lead him through. The first indication that I got that anything was wrong was that when we had all got through & round & were on the path on top of the tunnel, the ??? rushed out breathless waving his arms about like a windmill jerking out things I couldn't understand about "Ghaura".
