Fri. Aug 13.] bagged the lot. As lying down accomodation goes we were short as we only had 15 berths + 1 second for a N.C.O. Soon after 10.40 we started on our weary way. The didn't wait for us & I had to run to get to my ???. Wired for Ira at Moghal Serai from Dildarnagev. Stopped at Moghal Serai at 16.16. Tumbled out for Tea. Got my own in a huge rush. Had a long but hasty argument with the Ticket Collector. We ought to have had our warrant exchanged for a Ticket at Dinapore. Got that put right but the warrant was wrong so had to alter it. [Fri. Aug 13. 8.0 Just had a Top hots bath. In for a good meal & then all would be well. Arrived at Allahabed org.??? 15 after tranferring the men to the Jubbulpore??? trains. I raided the Refreshment Room. Felt happier afterwards. At 10.0 we pushed off. The 5th Harts??? have a detachment of 50 on the train, also en route for the Gulf. Their officer - a chap called Needham??? - is in the same carraige??? as I. He is going out with them. They got a good send off though 75% of them were at least "half seas over." We turned in immediately and slept more or less peacefully to Viatni??? where we arrived at 5/10 on
