Wed. Aug 4 As the Commanding Officer getting TDs??? "For ??? are getting TDs??? while non ??? & privates are getting ???" They did a jolly good alphaet song on the train too. Thurs. Aug 5 Beach Jackson spent the morning cleaning up the supply??? office??? I helped the clerks whith the last page of the pay gook in the meantime. I was also sort of in attendance to clean up and ??? about sundry transactions. It was 1:30 when I ??? back ??? Beach had hand in the ??? in the afternoon??? Another league match tonight. G. the ??? Ground v. No. 2. ??? "reffed" for us - pretty strictly too. We played up very much better tonight. We pressed throughout the first half and scored fairly early from a mix up in goal. In the second half I got the ball during a mix up in the 25 & having ??? ??? it out to ??? (outside left) who put it through beautifully. After restarting & about another 10 minutes of play I got the ball from the halves & started up the field with it more or less on my own. When Cooper??? (their back) tackled I half lost it but forced him & the ball to within 5 yards of the goal. Then at last I got it out to halfway again & the result was we won and
