168 Sun Mar 21 Had to go up to the Orderly Room at 8.45 to mount the guard. Gen May & his staff passed through at 7.0 on their way to inspect the ??? in camp. After Brekker I went to the Hospital to see Jackson. He is getting on - slowly. The Gen got back about 11.0 & came into the Hospital while I was there so i cut off to the Orderly Room in case he might have wanted to inspect the Bcks. However we didn't. After Tea I went along to the club. Marwood came in & turns out to be Marwood of the A.S.S.U. (O.U.O.T.C.) Rather comic meeting out here. Michelmore?? took the service tonight so no sermon. May 7 his staff dined with the Punjabis tonight so I was in high society. The General is a very decent old boy. Quite a different type from Movey?? -- though of the two I would rather trust Movey??. Mon. Mar. 22. Orderly room in the morning, then went in to see Jackson. 11.30 - 3.0 Sleep At 3.0 I went down to the Station to meet Williamson. He came out at the beginning of Dec to take up an I.C.S. job at Arrah??? He is an Emmanuel Cambridge man & held a T.F. unattached list commission since 1913 some time.
