294 Thur July 23] absence. I uslead??? there was a pleasant little chit-chat very much off the point. At 10.0 we adjourned. Then Pater had arrived when I got home. (By the 6.15 from SLOKE???) ' ' Fri. July 24. Tennis in morn. Spent aft in staining the Bath Room Cupboard I made about 3 weeks ago (July 2) Had to make some adjustments to the doors as well. Did a little work in eve. Pater & I discussed route to & through Scotland next week. As the law case is to be adjourned we start on Thursday. 295 Sat. July 25. Tennis in a.m. Wimbley Fire Empire is apparently alright again. I saw it out to.day. Mr & Mrs Newton & Pat came over in aft. Had tea then Pat & I went over & watche the County School Sports for a bit as it got rather windy we did a walk round the block after 1. Pat says Parrish intends to sell his 2 3/4 Torpedo??? Precision in middle of Aug.
