204 Tue Apr. 14] Wedding March. I had not much pity for the blowers. I walked to the house with one of the young Pullingers. There are three boys more or less at home now. One is a master at St Pauls School, one ditto at Oakham, the third is Captain of St. Olave's whence Harris, Gill & Terry hail. He is going to Trinity Cambridge with a schol. As Davies hinted there were several MTS masters there. Callinan was best man Lumb took part of the service (Davies' brother took the rest) Parkes, Sweeting, Wells & James were also there. After a very pleasant time Mr & Mrs Newton & I left about 4.0. In the evening Pat Joyce & I went to Forest Gate to a Cinema. Programme very good. Got back about 11.0. Wed Apr. 15 A friend of Pat's (Parish by name) called for him with his motor this morning. We all three set out for the forest. Somewhere through Woodford we put up my machine & I rode Pat's while he went on Parish's carrier. Needless to say I haven't got a licence and
