190 Fri. Apr 3 off left from the main road & eventually reaches Stanmore. It consists partly of Railway sleepers, partly of ashes, partly of an unknown depth of mud and partly of a civilised road. It was quite exciting. I went on to Edgware & on past the Station towards Mill Hill, then turned left and struck another beautiful road which developed into a bridle path but which eventually led into the Elstree road. I went on home then direct via Stanmore. Rode to Watford about 4.0 in aft. Saw Vic. Came home via Oxley Lane. Had a walk in eve with Pater & Mater. Sat Apr 4 Did some work in the morning & then went "up the Town" with Mater. When it stopped raining in the aft I rode to Watford. had tea there at the Jones'. They have taken a cottage at Hemsby & asked me if I knew the place at all. Imagine their surprise when they found I did! Went for a short ride with them after tea & then home. Bike not ready yet. Am getting rather sick of riding the Pater's. However Armstrong has promised to get the job finished by Monday morning.
